What is a CHP?

A CHP is a combined heat and power unit that simultaneously generates both heat and electrical power. This can mean higher efficiency than units that create power only and don’t utilise the heating power generated by most electrical generators, especially engines.

The Froling CHP unit delivers 115 kW of heat energy along with 56 kW of electrical energy to serve your on-site uses, export, or a combination of the two.

These systems may be the best value for customers with high existing on-site uses of heat and power as on-site CHP generation is typically cheaper than the cost of importing this from the grid or fossil fuels.
