I come and maintain this boiler every 2000 hours, for other boilers I might visit at 1000 or 1500 hours – it depends on the chip or pellets that are being burned really and on the conditions it’s being run under, like if it’s run all day or at certain times for example.
I give it a good clean and take samples of the flue gas and generally ensure that the boiler is healthy. If there are any problems then I can get them sorted before the boiler is damaged.
The important thing I tell clients is a well maintained and serviced boiler will last you a lifetime, especially these Froling boilers that are really designed for that quality of duration. And like I tell them - the Renewable Heat Incentive is going to give them payments for 20 years and they are going to want to make sure you’re servicing the boiler regularly – it’s part of the deal.
